I used to react (get sad or angry) when people criticize me about the things I talk about. I get defensive when I share my truth and people don’t resonate with it. I used to care about what they think, which is why I became really depressed. As human beings, we crave connection, interaction, and fulfillment. And when I don’t get that, I get upset. And the reason I get upset is that I didn’t believe in myself fully. Every time I get negative feedback, I question myself and wonder if I’m doing the right thing.⠀⠀
But there is no right or wrong thing, just perspectives.⠀
And of course, I believe what I believe in because I’ve had the life experience to back it up.⠀
What I’ve learned from my journey is that true power is restraint. Non-reaction.⠀
True power is allowing yourself to observe situations and challenges with both logic and intuition.⠀
If words control you, then everyone else can control you.⠀
Not everyone will like you. People from your past will criticize you. So are the people who don’t know who you really are and the shit you’ve been through.⠀
Move forward with grace, with compassion, and with understanding. People will resonate with you if they are on the same frequency. Don’t worry about the other people who don’t. 💖💖💖
